1. LIGHTEN EVERYTHING UP - You can do this by using calm colours/pastels, such as painting the walls, buying new furniture or if you are on a time and money budget, buying new bedding (doona covers, pillows, throws etc.) Rugs of light colour if you have dark coloured floors will create instant brightness.
